Looking for a convenient lifestyle? Park Point, Qualex-Landmark’s sixth condo tower in Calgary’s sought-after Beltline community, has earned a Walk Score rating of 98 per cent — a “walker’s paradise.”

It’s because of that severe walkability why the neighbourhood is seeing such massive growth. Indeed, according to the most recent census data, the Beltine’s population increased by 1,091 residents from April 2013 to April 2014 and is projected to double in the next 20 years.

“Downtown living is becoming increasingly popular due to convenient access to amenities within a short walk,” says Qualex-Landmark president Mohammed Esfahani. “In addition to the fantastic amenities within the building, residents of Park Point will have every conceivable service and amenity at their fingertips, from grocery stores, fashion, cafes, gourmet dining, art galleries and parks to athletic stores, hair salons and medical services. You’ve got it all.”

Developed by an advisory board and validated by leading academic researchers, the Walk Score methodology analyzing hundreds of walking routes to nearby amenities and awards points based on the distance to amenities in each category. Park Point earns top marks thanks to its location within a pedestrian and bicycle-friendly area at 12th Avenue and 2nd Street SW, making it easy for residents to carry out any daily errand on foot.

“Calgary’s urban sprawl is one of Canada’s largest. As the population of Calgary grows, we’re working with the city to reduce urban sprawl by offering housing in urban areas such as the Beltline, where we see strong demand for urban living,” says Esfahani. “With five other residential developments in the inner city, we are committed to renewing the vibrancy of Calgary’s Beltline Community by creating an attractive, popular urban lifestyle.”

Park Point’s convenient surroundings complement the 34-storey tower’s many onsite amenities, which include an outdoor Yoga /Pilate’s sundeck, Zen Terrace and an open air lounge area with seating, fire pit and barbecue area. Further supporting the carefree, urban lifestyle of downtown Calgarians, Park Point has secured parking, bike storage and bike maintenance stations, as well as vehicle, bike and dog wash areas.

According to Walk Score, Calgary is the 10th most walkable major city in Canada and Park Point stands in the heart of one of its most walkable communities.

Homes in the 34-storey tower are already on the market and construction is anticipated to wrap up in 2018. To learn more, visit the presentation centre at 301 – 11th Avenue SW in Calgary between 12pm and 5pm Saturday through Thursday.
